Reliability of PV in India: Task Group 14
Task Group 14 investigates quality, reliability, and sustainability issues observed in PV Plants in India and is led by the experts from National Centre for Photovoltaic Research and Education (NCPRE), IIT Bombay. Some of the focus areas for PVQAT-India are following: reliability evaluation of anti-soiling coatings, water quality tests for cleaning water used for solar panels, standards for estimating the cleaning efficacy and water usage of various module cleaning methods, tests for estimating worst-case power loss from cell cracks in field, tests for assessing the effect of transportation on reliability of PV modules and standards for data management at PV plants.
Progress Update
- A workshop of the potential stakeholders was held at IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India in December 2019.
- Based on the interest, a new group was formed in spring of 2020.
